What Full Broadcast Actually Means
There are two ways to install vinyl flake floors: partial broadcast and full broadcast. Partial broadcast scatters flakes randomly across the surface, leaving gaps in the base coat visible between chips. It is faster and cheaper. Full broadcast buries the base coat completely under a thick, uniform layer of vinyl chips. The difference in appearance and performance is significant.

The vinyl chips are thrown in excess over the wet epoxy base until the entire surface is covered, the excess is swept off once the base cures, and a grout coat of epoxy fills the gaps between chips. Full broadcast flake systems require more steps than a basic coat, and Gold Coast Resin doesn’t skip any of them.
Prep and Grind
Diamond grinding removes all surface contaminants and creates a mechanical bond profile the epoxy can grip. We test for moisture, repair cracks, and fill joints so there are no surface defects telegraphing through to the finished floor.
Epoxy Base Coat
A pigmented epoxy base coat goes down at correct mil thickness. The base color is chosen to complement the flake blend, typically a color that matches one of the chip tones for visual cohesion when flakes are broadcast.
Full Flake Broadcast
Vinyl chips are thrown in excess over the wet base coat until coverage is complete with no visible bare spots. Once the base cures, excess chips are swept and scraped, leaving a tightly packed, textured surface that gets a thin grout coat to fill voids.
Polyaspartic Topcoat
One to two coats of commercial polyaspartic seal the flake layer, lock in the color, and deliver UV stability and abrasion resistance rated for vehicle traffic. The topcoat sheen level is your choice: flat, satin, or high-gloss.
