Barrel Rooms Ask More of a Floor Than a Garage Ever Will

A barrel room on the west side off Vineyard Drive runs cold and damp on purpose, then gets hit with hot water and caustic cleaner on a schedule. That combination is brutal on concrete and on any coating that was picked for looks alone. Wine is acidic, rinse water carries sugar that feeds bacteria in any seam it can find, and barrel racks put point loads on the slab that would crack a thin system.
