The slabs out here tell you a lot before we ever open a bucket. Packing houses and cold storage buildings off Garces Highway and out toward the vineyards on Pond Road were poured for equipment, not for looks, and decades of forklift traffic have left them polished slick in the drive lanes and chewed up at the dock doors. Homes in the older neighborhoods around Cecil Avenue tend to sit on thinner residential slabs that were floated tight and sealed, which means the surface is closed and a coating will slide right off it unless we grind that skin away.

Either way the first machine on site is the grinder. Johnny opens the concrete to a CSP 2 or CSP 3 profile so the resin has real texture to grip, then chases the cracks, fills the spalls at the dock edges, and levels the low spots where water has been standing.
